Parkinson's Disease in his mid 40s. His greatest desire, after the shock wore off, was to do something to boost the fight against such a debilitating disease that affects millions of other human beings like himself. and two wonderful elementary school-aged children, motivated him that much more to win the battle against this disease. against PD symptoms and its progression, he couldn't and hasn't stopped writing since. Gold Valley Publications became the manifestation of this gift, a company in its infancy, and established by his wife, Rebecca. Her convictions and his, are one in the desire to help support Parkinson's Research and Patient Services, until a cure has been found and approved by the FDA. "Both Rebecca and I will join up, back to back, with the other heavyweights, and together we will win this fight!" Gerard has declared. "My hope is that not only will I shed a positive light for all those who read my books, but also the hope that the books will lead with a strong left and a hard right towards the fight against Parkinson's Disease and the purpose we have been given to help the University of Arizona's Neuroscience Research Department implement their ground breaking discoveries, will be fulfilled," he's stated. |
