Gerard J. Washburn
Gerard J. Washburn tried his hand at everything but literature
- (Copper Mining, Millwright, Fabrication/ Welding, Real
Estate, Insurance/Financial Planning, Auto Sales & Leasing,
Custom Home Builder).  He was successful in each
endeavour, yet when the 'deep called, the waters did not
stand still.'

"Being a writer would never have been included on any list
concerning work," he has stated.

"The waters have been calmed," he says with resolve.

Gerard is now doing what he was meant to do since the
beginning - write, write and write, while embracing the
purpose he has been given and helping to instill a positive light
in all whom he can.

In spite of Parkinson's Disease, he has committed his life with
his wife, to spear-head the direct fundraising necessary for the
University of Arizona's Neuroscience Research Department
to create a world class research center with Parkinson's
Disease Research at the top of their list.  The U of A's very
own, Dr. Brian McKay's and Dr. Scott Sherman's dedicated
hard work, has shown great potential and hope for all who
suffer from Neurological disorders.
